The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is pleased to present the ‘Basic Clinical Radiobiology Course 2015’. The course is jointly hosted by the European Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ESTRO) School, the premier organisation for radiation oncology education in Europe, and the RANZCR Faculty of Radiation Oncology. This course represents a unique and valuable opportunity for radiation oncology professionals to learn from an international faculty of expert radiobiologists and clinicians, and addresses an unmet need in radiobiology education in Australia. With the convergence of technology, biology and molecular oncology in radiation oncology, there has never been a better time to offer this course in Australia.
The ESTRO School is highly regarded by oncology professionals worldwide. This is the second time that this co-branded course will be held in Australia, with the first course in Sydney in 2013 having been oversubscribed with over 120 participants. This course is similarly expected to attract strong interest from the Australian and New Zealand radiation oncology community, and particular efforts are also being made by RANZCR to market this course in South-East Asia and South Africa.
For industry, this course offers the opportunity to meet and establish connections with radiation oncology professionals including radiation oncologists, radiation oncology trainees, radiation therapists and medical physicists. The course is expected to be especially attractive to radiation oncology and medical physics trainees, who will be tomorrow’s researchers, clinicians and leaders.
